Pulp Revival Magazine

THE MAGAZINE
Pulp Revival Magazine is a genre fiction publication working in the tradition of the great pulp magazines. Stories that hit hard and refuse to be forgotten. No genre snobbery, no safe choices. Just the kind of fiction that earns its place on the page.
ISSUE NO. 1 — NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS
Dread
The best Dread story is the one that felt dangerous to write: psychologically raw, rooted in something real, and impossible to shake. We want atmosphere you can feel and dread that earns its name. If it unsettled you to write it, send it to us.
We're looking for:
-
Horror that haunts — slow burn, folk horror, psychological, cosmic
-
Dark fantasy where darkness isn't decoration
-
Weird fiction in the tradition of Ligotti, Barron, and early King
-
Stories with a strong, specific sense of place
-
Characters who feel the fear, not just witness it
We are not looking for torture porn, shock-only horror, or stories where violence substitutes for dread. Scare us, don't just wound us.
WHAT'S NEXT
Dread is just the beginning — future issues will explore other genres that evoke a specific feeling:
-
Pulp Revival Magazine: Swoon (romance/drama)
-
Pulp Revival Magazine: Noir (crime/mystery)
-
Pulp Revival Magazine: Velocity (action/adventure)
-
Pulp Revival Magazine: Strange (sci-fi/fantasy)
-
Pulp Revival Magazine: Lurid (grindhouse/exploitation)
