Submissions
We read everything we receive, respond to every submission, and pay our contributors. If you write genre fiction in the pulp tradition, you're in the right place. Here's what you need to know before you send.

What We're Looking For
For Dread, we want horror, dark fantasy, and weird fiction — stories that build unease rather than deliver shock. Folklore. Psychological dread. The uncanny. Cosmic horror with real characters at its center. Dark fantasy where the world's wrongness is felt, not just described.
-
Horror that haunts — folk, psychological, cosmic, slow-burning
-
Dark fantasy where the darkness has weight and consequence
-
Weird fiction in the tradition of Ligotti, Barron, and early King
-
Stories with a strong, specific sense of place
-
Voices that are distinct and sentences that earn their keep
We are not looking for torture porn, gore for gore's sake, or stories where violence substitutes for dread. Scare us — don't just wound us.

How to Submit
Send your submission by email with your story attached. Put the following in the subject line so nothing gets lost:
Subject line: DREAD SUB — Story Title — Your Name
SEND TO: submissions@pulprevivalpress.com
If you'd like, you can include a brief cover letter in the body of the email — just your name, story title, word count, and a line or two about yourself. That's all we need.
A Note from Us
We started Pulp Revival Press because we believe genre fiction deserves to be taken seriously — by editors, by readers, and by the writers who pour themselves into it. We know what it costs to send a story out. We won't leave you wondering. Every submission gets a response. Every accepted writer gets paid. Every story we publish earns its place. That's the promise. Now send us something you're passionate about.
